David Scott, better known as ARGH KiD, is an author, poet, former BBC broadcaster and creative facilitator from Manchester. Working across literature, performance, education and media, he uses storytelling to challenge perceptions, inspire change and amplify voices that are often overlooked.

He is the author of two books. His debut, Mancunians, celebrates the people and stories of his hometown, while his second, Caroline Aherne: Rebel in Disguise, was selected as Book of the Month in The Independent and received critical acclaim for its portrait of one of Britain’s most influential creative voices. His work has been featured across major media including the BBC, The Guardian, Sky Sports and ITV.

David has taken his work from radio studios and festival stages to theatres, classrooms and prisons. He has collaborated with organisations including Manchester United, the National Theatre and the National Literacy Trust, delivering creative projects that connect storytelling with education and social impact.

Whether writing, performing or teaching, David believes that stories have the power not only to entertain, but to transform lives.
